Happy Hudson!

I feel like the past few posts have been all about Quinten,
so this one is all about Hudson aka Happy Baby!
He is growing so fast and already learning so much, it's hard to believe in a few short months he will be running all over just like his brother.
Quinten already says when Hudson gets bigger he is going to share his toys, and teach him how to play and dance.
I am playing catch up with his monthly posts. With getting ready for our trip and keeping up
with the boys, its no surprise I fell behind.
Although I knew I was going to miss him like mad, while we were on vacation,
he is such a happy, easy baby, I knew he would be fine.
And so would GM & GP;)
And of course they were, a little tired perhaps, but we all did well.

At 3 months you...
~although you didn't have a check up this month, we know you are growing bigger everyday
~are now in size 2 diapers and some 6 month clothing
~give "kisses" just opening your mouth right on mommy's cheek.
~sucks on his fingers, especially thumb
~recognize your family
~grabs and holds tightly onto things, especially Mommy's hair
~laughs and smiles all day
~gets a bath at 6:30 and is sleeping in crib by 7:15 most nights
While Daddy and Q did their weekly food shopping, Hudson and I were going to go to the mall.
I dressed him and turned to get my shoes. By the time I got back he was fast asleep on the floor.
We ended up staying home and he took a 3 hour nap.
All dressed up and no where to go!
At 4 months you...
~weighed 16lbs. 4.8oz, height 25" 1cm, and head circumference 41.9cm
~scream little happy screams and like to hear us scream back.
~laughs when you are tickled, especially back and neck.
~laughs harder and louder, when he realizes we are laughing with him.
~growing more and more blonde hair.
~reach out and grab anything within reach, especially if it is brightly colored.
~falls asleep on his own in crib, swing...and occasionally on the floor!
~love being thrown up in the air.
~tries to stand by himself.
~ found your FEET!
~favorite toy is Sophie the Giraffe.
~spent 3 nights aways from Mommy, Daddy, & Quinten with GM & GP...and everyone survived!
~are the happiest most lovable baby in the world!

Outings with GM & GP

We are very lucky to be able to visit with GM & GP so much.
Quinten loves swimming in their hot tub and thinks blowing bubbles is very funny!
Swimming on the noodle
Quinten had his first sleepover without Mommy and Daddy this summer, while Jason traveled to North Carolina for a few days.
While he was there GM & GP packed in tons of fun to keep him busy.
Grandma and Quinten had a play date with friends at Timmy Town.
catching bugs
picking out fruit and veggies
coloring
watering plants
digging for treasure
cutting paper
Choo Choo!
Driving the school bus
Driving the race car just like cousin Paul!
Quinten was very adventurous and tried lots of new things.
GM & GP also took Q to Claws and Paws.
He enjoyed feeding the goats.
Seeing the giant turtle
But his favorite was definitely the giraffe.
Especially when it swooped his tongue down and ate a carrot right out of Q's hand!
Other zoo fun...
Digging for treasure again. I hope he finds some!
Fishing in GP's garage
The biggest adventure for Q was when they went to ride on Thomas the Train.
Thomas!
Percy!
The station had lots of train tables for the kids to play with after their ride on Thomas.
It is hard for Quinn to understand why he can't go to Grandma's house when ever he wants. I guess he doesn't realize how long we are in the car to get there. He always has so much fun and
I'm not sure who is the most tired by the time we leave!

Disney Cruise

Quinten's first plane ride!
For Andi's 40th Birthday, her family (including cousins from Scotland) planned a Disney cruise.
What she didn't know was her 3 best friends were also planning on going on the cruise to surprise her!
It was a lovely time all around.
The travel was easy, Quinten was his curious, silly self, and we all had a fabulous time!
I packed lots of goodies for the plane to keep Q busy.
He loved playing with the gel window decals and decorating our window for Halloween!
Landing in Orlando with Kara, Lynn, and Brody!

After we surprised Andi we wasted no time splashing in the water.
Quinn especially liked Nemo's Reef.
Each night after dinner we went to a show.
As you can see, Q LOVED watching the singing and dancing.
He sat like a big boy through the whole show.
We would see the different characters around the ship, and although Q always wanted to see them and asked where they were. He wasn't crazy about getting close enough for a bunch of pictures.
There is tons to do on the ship so we decided to spend most of the second day aboard.
Q loved the big Callie bone on the miniature gold course.
Trying to mow the extra large lawn mower.
Hole in 1!
After gold it was off to the basketball court.
All the playing made someone very hungry!
Loving his ice cream cone.
When we hit the Bahamas we got off the boat for a little exploring.
The island air wiped Q out...
or maybe it was all the golf and basketball!
When we got back to our rooms we were greeted with pirate bandanas.
The ship was having a pirate party and they wanted to make sure everyone was dressed up.
I guess they didn't realize that we LOVE dressing up and were prepared with our own costumes.
Q and Daddy thought it would be funny to wear their bandanas and talk like pirates while we got ready for dinner.
Much like at home Q loved being in the bath and spent more than an hour in his boat bath each night.
After dinner everyone went on deck to watch the pirate show.
Me and my little scalawag!
Fighting to stay awake to watch the pirate show.
After the pirate party is was off to our show and then bed.
All that partying helped for some very good sleeping.
This was probably the most consecutive sleep I have gotten in three years!
Quinten is finally turning into a good sleeper.
Mickey decided to join Daddy for some relaxation time.
Jason, Scott, and some of the other guys went bottom water.
Daddy's catch of the day!
They also pulled in 2 sharks.
 The Disney Dream
While the guys fished, the ladies relaxed in the sun.
Quinten had so much fun building sand castles and swimming in the blue water.
 Ainslie and Quinn
Aiden and Quinn looking for shells.
Castaway Cay was definitely our favorite part of the trip.
Q took a nice long nap on the beach.
Aiden and Quinten playing at dinner.

Waiting in Orlando airport to come back home.
Unfortunately the Disney shuttle got us to the airport near noon and our flight wasn't until 3:00.
Luckily I had a few more special treats packed for Q and we enjoyed a few cocktails before boarding.
Q fell asleep before we took off and didn't wake up until we landed.
Great flight home!
