Busy 2012!

Well the last two weeks have been quite busy, but also fabulous!
We are finally in our new home and Quinten is going to be a big brother!
Check out my shirt!
"Only Child...Expires June 2013"
Although the pregnancy started off a little shaky, I feel good most days and time seems to be flying by this time around.
Q shared the news with my students last week with this video.
Most days have been filled with organizing, unpacking, getting used to where everything is, and just relaxing in our new home.
Quinten and Callie have adjusted quite well to their new home. They enjoy chasing each other around all of the space they now have to play. We know they will love the woods in the backyard as time goes on.
Here they are chilling on the new couch!
(Notice Q's shirt...he already is the king of this castle!)

Most of our rooms are pretty set, although we still have many bare walls.
We are waiting on new furniture for the morning room. And haven't found a dining room set they we love yet, so that remains the only empty room at this point.
I will post more picks of the house over the weekend. But for now here is a picture of Quinten putting together a puzzle in his playroom.
His playroom has a bit fo a Dr. Suess theme.
It's awesome and so great to have a place for him to keep all of his toys right off of the family room.
Some other recent photos of our silly little boy!

Saying cheese as he snacks on cheese and blueberries!
He was yelling at me, because he wanted to put on all of his bibs and I limited him to two!
Q gets about an hour of Daddy time every morning after I leave for work and before he goes to school. It is very often that he learns a something new during this time.
This is the latest thing they have been working on.
Notice how Q repeats some of the words "kitty cat" and "hat" but mostly how he likes to toot his own horn!
Although some mornings they spend time being silly and seeing how many objects Q will out on his head!
"What?!?! Is something on my head?"
One of Q's favorite words is "hattie" or hat, he has been signing this word for quite awhile and recently, I guess with the influx of colder weather has been using it quite often.
Two mornings in a row now he has totally on his own put a piece of banana on his head and called it a hattie:)

House Update

We have been so busy lately and wanted to get these pictures up before our actual move on FRIDAY!!
We can't believe a year has gone by since we decided to move and to think it all started because Jason thought it would be a good time to refinance the beach house?!?! Not sure how we ended up here...
Front view with our new little tree and spray grass.
Kitchen before appliances and cabinet knobs.
The cabinets are actually more of a butterscotch whitewash then they look in this picture.
This is the family room.
To the right of the kitchen is the morning room.
Fireplace in the family room.
 First floor powder room.

We had such a wonderful Thanksgiving and are thankful for so much!
I will post pictures of our visit to the Poconos soon!

Fun filled weekend!

We had such a jam packed, fun weekend! We went to visit our friends, Steph, Chris and Ryleigh, in their new house in New Jersey Friday night. Their house is beautiful and the kids had SO much fun playing. We all had an awesome time!
Here is a video of Q and Ry playing Ring around the Rosie!
So stinking cute!!!!

Saturday we hopped around to 3 different stores picking out a washer, dryer and new tv for the house.
As you can see Quinn was very patient and loved being raced around Best Buy in a cart! His newest thing is saying "Beep Beep" as we pass other customers!
We were supposed to go to our friends' sons 2nd birthday party Saturday afternoon, but by the time we got home Quinn decided he much rather take a nice long nap...mommy did too;)

The weather was SO beautiful on Sunday,
Jason thought it would be a great day to go to the apple orchard.
And it was!
Since Quinten's favorite new word is "apple" he had plenty of practice saying it all day long.
Quinten LOVED feeding the baby goats and chickens, playing on the rides, picking pumpkins, being pulled in a wagon, and of course tasting his first apple cider doughnut!

We stopped the wagon to take a picture and Quinten did the sign for more...
guess he wanted to keep going.
Watching the baby goats eat the food he just tossed them.
"Daddy, I think this is a good one!"
"Hey wait a minute, you guys told me pumpkins are orange?!?"

As we were getting ready to leave, Quinten spotted some nice older ladies smiling at him.
I guess he figured if they were going to be looking at him he better do something funny!
Funny Face!
He got a real kick out of them waving bye bye back to him from their car window.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween Charlie Brown!
Quinten is quite particular about only wearing hats outside and since his Halloween parade was going to be inside we went for a costume idea that he wouldn't get frustrated with...Charlie Brown.
He carried around a Snoopy all day that sang the theme song when you squeezed it.
Here he is in the wagon for the parade.
Notice his friend Charlie sleeping on his lap.
Of course Daddy carved the coolest pumpkin for Quinten.
Elmo
Everyday when we get home from school Quinten carries the keys from the car to the front door. He puts the keys on the door as to unlock it.
Now that Elmo is there, he has to first hit the pumpkin on the top a few times to say hello.

We went trick or treating to one neighbor's house but when the man answered the door dressed as the Grim Reaper, we Quinten decided to go back to Rocky and Nina's. He definitely preferred watching the neighborhood kids come to our house in their costumes. He also had no problem filling his pumpkin bucket with candy from Nina's giant bowl.
Q was getting ready for school and struck a pose to show Daddy how cool he looked!

Quinten has started to repeat so much both verbally and non verbally. He rakes, cooks, sweeps, talks on the phone, scribbles, gets of the couch by himself, tries to jump, and dances every time he hears the slightest amount of music. He says bye bye, ball, sings the "eieio" part of Old McDonald, makes the sound for a cow, monkey, dog, and lamb. The other day he said big ball and banana.
It is amazing what a big boy is.

We are down to the final month before we move. YEAH!!!
Here is a picture of the master bath.
And the kitchen cabinets going in...

Fall time fun!

I forgot to include a picture of the back of the house last time. The bump out is our morning room where we will be enjoying lots of yummy meals made by Chef Jay!
We had a wonderful weekend in the Poconos last week. Quinten received lots of hugs and kisses from GM & GP and were surprised when Gramps (Jason's dad) and Aunt Jody when they showed up with over 20 balls for him. We were all very excited to see Callie, and Quinten could not get enough of playing in the leaves. Here are a few pictures.
GM Jeanne was throwing piles of leaves up in the air and he loved watching them fall!
 More falling leaves!
Quinten is trying to throw some leaves himself.
Playing in GP Bud's newly raked pile.
 Posing with Mommy!
 Laughing with GP Bud!
Drumming on the giant pumpkin.
Callie really misses Jason:(
"Hey Mommy, look at this cool blade of grass I found!"
The next weekend we spent at the beach house...only 6 more until we move in!
Kathy and Mark were able to stop on the way back down to Georgia before they head south for the winter.
Quinten enjoyed his first Quesadilla when we went out to a delicious Mexican dinner.
Quinten is telling me that the cat says meow!
Showing the cat the cool truck Grandma Kathy bought him.
On the way "home" from the beach we stopped at a pumpkin farm.
Quinten went on his first hayride and picked a pumpkin for Daddy to carve.
His favorite part was the teepee.
He had a blast dancing around making Indian sounds inside of it.

Quinten is learning so much these days. It is amazing how much he understands. He can find a ball almost anywhere we go and dances every time he hears music. He says, ball, tickle tickle, dog, Mama, Dada, and signs more, milk, and eat.
Update on Casa de Kusheba...
The door will be black but most of the exterior is finished. Landscaping should start this week.
The trim on the interior should also be completed, to include our beautiful kitchen cabinets. Drywall is done and we should even have our first coat of paint on.

Back to School

We took Quinten for his 2nd haircut.
He did a great job holding still, as long as Daddy kept him distracted with toys or puffs!
Quinten is very happy to be back to school with his friends and teachers. It is a whole new world now that he can walk. His new teachers are Shay and Amy. Thank goodness Miss Jennifer moved up to his new class with him, he definitely feels more comfortable having her there and loves her hugs throughout the day.
Quinten is going through some separation issues...can you blame him after spending so much time with us this summer. Drops offs have been a little bit of an issue in the morning, but as you can see they have gotten a lot easier for him and Daddy. Here he is to busy playing to even look up and say goodbye.
Waking up and getting ready for school and work is another thing we are adjusting to.
Quinten looking a bit possessed!
One of my favorite things is when Quinten wakes up he picks his head up smiles and then lays back down and goes back to sleep.
Quinten earning his keep by sweeping Rocky and Nina's deck.

Quinten has a bit of a cold, so we stayed in Wilmington this weekend
and did some of his favorite things.
 Quinten's version of heaven!

We were all going through a little dog withdrawal, since Callie is in the Poconos, so we kicked off our weekend with a trip to the dog park and to PetSmart. Quinten was all smiles and got to pet many different dogs. We are all looking forward to finally seeing Callie next weekend!

We took our first walk through of the house.
It is amazing how quickly the process is going electricity and plumbing are done. Drywall and insulation are going up this week and we are about 8 weeks away from move in.
WAHOO!!!
