Look who's 5 months already!

I can not believe 5 months have gone by...
Quinten turned 5 months on Monday.
Monday also marked one year since we found out we were pregnant.
Unbelievable it has been a year!

Some pictures from this month...and a video!!!
Taking turns blowing raspberries with Daddy!

Such a big boy!!!

5 New Things Quinten does at 5 Months...
1. Sings himself to sleep...when Quinn is tired but not overtired he starts to sing before he dozes off. We have to contain our laughter so we don't wake him up!
2. Feet...he found them and LOVES them. Only to be outdone by his hands!
3. Raspberries, a few weeks ago he started blowing raspberries and spit bubbles.
If you blow them, he will turn take and do them back.
4. Grabbing toys, Quinten is really taking an interest in his toys.
5. Laughing...this is the BEST sound I have EVER heard!!!
Quinten laughs the most when he gets tickled and his neck gets kissed.

5 Things Quinten Loves at 5 Months...
1. Standing...Little Guy smiles every time his feet hit the floor!
2. Quinten LOVES coming into our bed in the morning. Okay maybe this one WE love. This is our favorite time of the day. We lay him in between us and he talks up a storm. Even Callie gets in on the family snuggling.
3. Pillow Pet and Puppy Blanket, these are Quinn's 2 favorite toys right now. The elephant's trunk and puppy's ears always end up in his mouth (Thanks Steph).
4. Drooling...not sure if he loves this, but he is constantly doing it!
5. Quinten LOVES hanging out with his daddy!
It has been a month that Jason has been Mr. Mom. It was a little adjustment for both of my boys, but they have had such a wonderful bonding experience! Just a few more days home alone.
Quinten smiles every time he looks at his Dad:)

2nd Chance Christmas!

We drove to Aunt Laura and Uncle Randy's, in Florham Park, NJ, Saturday for what our family has affectionately named our holiday gathering, 2nd Chance Christmas...although this year it was before Christmas!
We gave Quinten a bath before we left and he slept the entire 2 1/2 hour ride!
Quinn was very happy to see his cousin Ella, my cousin Gina's daughter, "roll" in with her mommy and daddy.

Quinten was all smiles when he realized Grandma and Grandpa were also there!

Make a wish!
Not only were we celebrating Christmas, but Saturday was also my dad's Birthday! Quinten, Jason and I had dug through old pictures of Grandpa Bud hunting and fishing and downloaded them into a book. We were lucky enough to find pictures from when he was just a little boy.

I know Grandpa Bud can't wait for the day when he can start taking Quinn fishing with him!
Quinten giving GP Birthday hugs!

The day was filled with delicious food, great company, lots of picture taking and the all anticipated gift exchange!
The highlight this year is when a 2nd chocolate, a gift that has been re-gifted many, many years in our family, appeared;)
Gina, Ella and Lenny
Uncle Pat and Quinten
Aunt Suzanne, Joseph, Uncle Pat and Pasquale
Aunt Laura and Uncle Randy
Grandmas and Grandchildren!
Cousins!
Ella tried to console Quinn when he started to get tired.

He was happy chilling on the couch with Uncle Randy and being held by Grandma!

We had a fabulous day and look forward to many more family holidays!
Quinten had a great time and did a good job staying awake the whole day...needless to say, he slept the entire ride home!

When we got home, Grandma Kathy and Mark were at our house.  They drove up from Florida and stopped in on the way up to Connecticut. Although it was way passed his bedtime, Quinten managed to muster up some energy to stay awake to get more hugs!!!
Chef Jay made us lovely Belgium waffles in the morning before Mark and Kathy left.
What a fun filled weekend we had!!!

Quinten's first date and decorating!

We visited Chris, Stephanie and Ryleigh Sunday morning in Sewell, NJ.
Ry just turned 8 months and is quite a little ham! She is absolutely adorable! As soon as a camera comes out, she is all smiles:) Unlike her boyfriend Q that tends to freeze or get a inquisitive look on his face.
It was fun to see her interact with Steph and Chris. It's amazing to think Quinn will be that grown up in just a few short months.
Stephanie made a delicious apple crisp and the kids opened presents! Our visit was great and we look forward to many future play dates and family vacations! Thanks to Steph, we can stop making up our own words and actually learn many, many nursery rhymes with our hours and hours of cds;)
Quinten showing off his new bib!
He got a little distracted with his feet newest toy!
We were in the holiday spirit when we got home and decided to drink some eggnog wine and decorate our tree.  Callie tried to help daddy with the lights but was more interested in pulling his hat off.
Quinten got into the spirit by hanging his first ornament.
He already thinks Christmas Rocks!
(Thanks Steph)
We had a fun filled holiday weekend!
This is Quinten's reaction after seeing the tree lit for the first time.

Daddy and Me!

The boys started their second full week home together with a road trip to the beach.  Jason planned well, Quinten slept almost the whole way!

It was a rainy week and they spent most of their time inside.

Jason put together Quinten's exosaucer, which he is a HUGE fan of.  He already enjoys pushing some of the buttons and listening to the silly sounds.

Quinten also enjoys looking in the mirror.

The big news is he  discovered his feet this week and can't seem to get enough of them!
Although his hands are still his favorite toy!

He has even started pulling off his socks so that he can play with his feet!

Quinten definitely thinks his daddy is the best and gets a big gummy grin every time Jason walks into the room. These few weeks are a great bonding time for my guys!
Jason was talking and Quinten kept looking over and laughing at him!

Sunday Funday...Family Style!

As if yesterday wasn't fun filled enough, Quinn and I were out the door this morning by 10:30. We drove up to Havertown to meet my girlfriend Meg's new baby, Trey, for the first time. He is SO cute! It's crazy that Quinn was that size not too long ago.
Trey is a little over 2 weeks and still in that sleepy baby phase:)
I warned Meg not to get to comfortable, weeks 4-6 are the hardest!
Although I am sure the boys will have a LOT of future play dates, Quinten wanted to play more with Meg than a sleepy baby!
We rushed home to pick up Jason and run some errands. We bought our first Christmas present. I know only 3 weeks, we better get a move on it! Then back home before our friends Tucker and Michelle came over with their children, Cadence and Grayson.
Grayson just turned one year old.  It's crazy to think Quinn will be this big in just a few short months.
It will be so exciting to have him running all over the beach!
Well the term Sunday Funday has certainly taken on a new meaning for us!
We definitely had fun family style this weekend.  Quinten was pooped and fell asleep as soon as his precious little head hit his swing pillow!
Something tells me Quinn and Daddy are going to have a relaxing Monday!

Quinten's first tree...

We went to Coleman's tree farm today to pick out Quinten's first Christmas tree.
The day was perfect, nice and sunny.
They had ponies, helicopter and hayrides, and Santa Clause!
Although Quinten was not a big fan at first...
Once we explained that this was the man that brought presents...
He had no problem telling Santa exactly what he wanted!

A bonus to our day was the delicious pulled pork sandwiches Coleman's has...good stuff!

Coleman's is definitely going to become a holiday tradition for us!

We are so Thankful for...

Friends, family and
our precious little turkey!
We have had such a wonderful year and have LOTS to be thankful for, most of all Quinten.
Thanksgiving is our favorite holiday and although the days leading up to it were tough, with me returning to work, we definitely looked forward to a fun and relaxing time at the beach.
We packed up the truck and headed south Wednesday for the long holiday weekend.
My parents met us there and we enjoyed the beautiful weather and delicious food.
Jason outdid himself with a lovely menu consisting of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes,  brussel sprouts, corn bread, cranberry sauce and my favorite sweet potatoe casserole.  We also had pumpkin roll, pumpkin pie and apple pie.
Quinten, "Do you think anyone will notice if I just eat the drumstick?"
After eating lots of delicious food, Quinten and GM Jeanne checked out the Black Friday sales...buy one get one Fisher Price Toy!!!
The weather was absolutely gorgeous and we were able to take lots of walks on the beach. It is hard to believe November is almost over already.
