Spring Break 2013

Jason had to travel for work for the two weeks leading up to spring break, so by the time spring break rolled around we were all ready for some much needed family time and relaxation!
Having him away made Quinn and I really appreciate how much we love, miss, and need him.
We sent him pictures and video throughout the two weeks and were able to visit him on the weekend. Jay was in Ocean City, MD, which gave us a good reason to go to the beach house. Unfortunately it was freezing there. Quinn's group of teeth that seemed to be coming down for the passed two months seemed to finally stop bothering him because he has been in the silliest mood for the last few weeks, laughing and smiling the entire day!

He talks so much now. It is amazing how many words he has in his vocabulary and will repeat or try to say just about anything. It is kind of sad for us because words that he used to have trouble with he is starting to pronounce the correct way. Of course we want him to increase his speech patterns, but it is so cute when he says one of his "Quinn words." Some of his words that are funny to us right now are: rain, penguin, and Quinten are all pronounced nini
orange is anu
pig is nunu (we think he is trying to say oink oink)
tractor and cracker are very similar
he says upstairs, downstairs, and outside...although outside is the only one he pronounces really well
and our favorite by far is "un"
This is what Quinn calls milk. He can sign milk and will differentiate between wanting to drink water or milk. We are not sure how he came up with that one but we love it!
Quinn is most talkative and his silliest first thing in the morning and before bed.
He rambles alot and will go through a whole list of words and songs that he knows. Some of his favorite songs with actions are:
Itsy Bitsy Spider, I'm a little Teapot, Head Shoulders, 5 Little Monkeys, Row Row Row your Boat, but by far his favorite is Wheels on the Bus!

Here are some a ton of pictures from the passed month.
 Getting reading for bath time.
Helping Bopa with our new stool.
 Showing his new teeth
Playing with his pals Puppy and Hopa!
One of the cutest new things Quinn has started is hanging out with his pals Puppy and Hopa (blue bunny). He never became attached to a blankie or pacifier so to see him take such interest in these guys is adorable. He kisses them, makes little beds for them and shares his food and milk with them.
He likes to have them near him when he is in a snuggly mood. They also sleep in his bed and when he wakes up after asking for Mommy, Daddy, and Callie he gives them morning kisses. Quinn will also share them with us. If he is hugging one he will let you hug the other.
We recently turned his carseat around. Even though it is suggested that you wait until your child is two, his legs were getting way to long.
I'm always looking for fun activities to keep Quinn busy in his chair while I clean dishes or get lunch ready. This was a goodie I found off Pinterest. Q was literally engaged for 20 minutes and snacked on delicious peanut butter cheerios as he played.
 Nap time with Callie.
 Playing chase with Mommy...
I could just munch on those chunky little legs!
We started off Spring Break with a trip to the Poconos, we couldn't believe it snowed enough while we were there to build two snowmen (nanu).
It's hard to believe since we found out what Baby #2 was in January, but we waited to share the news with family until we were all together.
One of the highlights of the year is getting together with GM's side of the family (The LaBracios)
We thought a fun way to share our big news would be with a cake.
The reveal of the inside icing color was much anticipated, especially for Mama and Bopa.
Since we already knew our little nugget's gender we let Grandma cut the cake!
Already bargaining with me, he wouldn't hold my balloon unless I let him hold his toothbrush.
Really?!?!
Can you sense his excitement?!?!
Cousin Ella tasting the icing.
Hey did you hear I'm going to have a little brother!!!!
Playing with Aunt Suzanne.
The highlight of 2nd chance is the grab bag.
As you can tell, this year's gift giving and stealing did not disappoint!
The gifts brought many laughs but none as funny as Mary's iArm:)
Climbing all over Callie, she is such a good dog!
 Snugging with his buddies.
Coloring with cousin Ella.
 Art time with Bopa.

Which color should we use now?!?

After a wonderful long weekend in the Poconos we headed back to our house to spend the rest of the week relaxing and having family fun!
Quinten and I had a playdate with girls from work.
The babies all slept while Q played with all of Baby James's toys.
 Shawna and Brayden
 Liz and Baby James
We decided to stay home for Easter.
Driving anywhere that is more than a 1/2 hour is starting to get uncomfortable for me and since we just visited with Mama and Bopa we laid low in Avondale for the holiday.
We prepared for the Easter Bunny by coloring eggs!
Q showing off the finished product.
Quinn did an amazing job finding and collecting over 20 eggs that Daddy the Easter Bunny hid.
Daddy and Q talking about their find!

We have some great videos and were both astonished by what a wonderful job Q did finding and collecting all his eggs without our help. He even shouted egg when he spotted one!
Unfortunately I am still having trouble uploading any videos:(
