11 months

Quinten turned 11 months last Monday:)
It has been a month of moving and festivals!
Q in his Wilmington room for the last time:'(

It is official we left Wilmington:( the move was bittersweet. We are excited to move on to bigger and better things, but will definitely miss our first home. Quinten was a trooper through the move as you can see he was a huge help...
As the movers came and took all of our things, Q caught an afternoon nap!
Playing on Mommy and Daddy's bed before the movers dismantled it!
I wish I had a video, we were all laughing uncontrollably here...great way to spend our last hours in the house.
Where's Waldo Quinten?

Luckily, the week we packed up was the week of festivals in Wilmington.
This made it a lot easier to pack up the kitchen...it also meant lots of gyros and pizza!
I think we made it to the Greek Festival every night...it was only a 3 block walk from the house...we will definitely miss the convenience of things like this when we move to the burbs!
Clapping for the Greek dancers with the Addy and Coryn.
GP Kurash enjoying some music!
Quinten enjoying tomato pie!

We had a pre-construction meeting with our project manager.
Here are the first pictures of our future home!
The pile of gravel to the left shows where our road is going in (Castlerae Road).
Behind the black pipes is our lot:) Our lot is backed by woods, which I'm sure Callie and Quinten will have lots of fun playing in.

They are supposed to break ground on July 9th on our new home. Our plan is to stay with our friends Rocky and Nina for the last few days of school and then spend the summer at the beach:)
I definitely look forward to being a stay at home mommy for the summer!

Here are a few videos of Quinn this month:
Cruising in his walker!
Rolling the ball!
Crawling around!

11 New Things Quinten does at 11 Months...
1. Walking while holding on to couch, our hands...whatever he can pull up on. As the month went on the quicker he got.
2. Makes silly noises with his fingers and lips.
3. Attachment to Mommy has increased immensely this month.
4. Trying lots of new foods (chicken, steamed veggies, blueberries and raspberries) we have been letting him try most everything we eat. He is not a big fan of soft food anymore...other than yogurt of course!
5. Waving hello and goodbye...he has been waving for awhile but it definitely seems more intentional now.
6. Plays peek a boo!
Now he not only pulls a blanket up but will bend down and hide...likes to play this best when skyping.
7. Quinten morphed his scoot, into a "pirate" crawl...dragging one leg, and now finally a real crawl!
8. Teeth! By the end of the month his 2 incisors, aka fangs, came down and the 2 top middle look like they will pop through any day.
9. Crawling through the door of his Laugh and Learn playhouse. He has always liked to play with his house but crawling has taken the fun to a whole new level.
10. Listens to the word "No" although once in awhile he try to push limits;)
11. Grunts and points (with his whole hand) if he wants more food, once in awhile if I ask more he nod his head:)

11 Things Quinten Loves at 11 Months...
1.Quinn definitely is still Callie's #1 fan!
He screeches when he sees her and is often crawling all over her and kissing her nose.
Quinten's favorite new trick is giving her some of his food.
Luckily for all of us she is the most docile 105lb. dog you'll ever meet:)
2. Elmo...whenever he sees an Elmo toy or him in a book Q smiles!
3.Playing "Uh Oh" dropping stuff, especially from his highchair or shopping cart and seeing us pick it up!
4. Talking...most days he is none stop!
5. Being held...by anyone. The other day we were at the food store and he tried to go to the lady standing next to us?!?
5. Going to the park, he loves the swing the best.
6. Sticking his tongue out...hopefully once his teeth come in they will keep this thing inside!
7. Playing catch...okay so he doesn't exactly catch the ball.
8. Going outside, as soon as the door opens, Quinn starts doing the happy dance and screeching.
9. To be tickled...under his chin is still the most ticklish spot...he likes when I sing Itsy Bitsy Spider when he is laying down and tickle him
10. Exploring, he has always been very observant and inspects every little thing. Now that he is constantly on the move there is so much more to see!
11. School...this is the only sad thing about summer...Quinn LOVES his teachers and friends, especially Miss Jennifer. Mr. Stubborn would often only eat if she was feeding him and would freak if she left the room.
I am mad at myself, I packed up his school book before I scanned the pictures of his graduation...very cute I'll have to post them in October when we unpack!

I have been researching different play groups and classes we can join this summer so that he will have plenty of interaction with other children. Our little family is looking forward to lots of family time this summer...it is so hard to believe that last year this time we were preparing for his arrival and now he is this little person doing so many things...AMAZING!!!
