Because we both love the beach so much it only made sense that we should have a beach wedding! We decided to not waste any time and planned for a 10-10-10 ceremony in the Outer Banks. The crazy thing was neither of us had ever been there so planning took a lot of research and trust in our vendors. The day could not have been any more perfect!
We were definitely looking forward to winter break and spending the holidays with our families. I had been feeling under the weather for a few weeks and was excited to have time off to relax. We were even more excited to share with everyone why I had been feeling ill. The Saturday before Christmas Eve we were watching a movie and I had a funny feeling. The next day I told Jason I had some errands to run. A few hours later he was opening his first Christmas present, an "I love daddy" bib. We later did 4 more tests to confirm...our little family was quickly growing!
We decided to end 2010 with a trip! We flew down to West Palm to visit with our dear friends the Neebs and then met Jason's mom, Kathy, and her husband Mark in Miami. From Miami we sailed down to Key West on Kathy & Mark's boat to ring in 2011.
It was colder than we had expected and my idea of partying was taking a nap
on the front of Carina (the boat).
We went kayaking in a shark nursery in Butternut Key.
And decided to forgo ringing in the New Year at Schooners Wharf for a nice quite dinner back at our dock restaurant. I was super excited when our server brought me a big bowl of mashed potatoes!
Happy New Year 2011!
