Memorial Day Weekend!

The bean's first official beach day!

Definitely a difference from our previous Memorial Day weekends.  We had a nice long weekend relaxing, eating at some of our favorite summer restaurants and seeing our beach friends.  

Although I had a lot of morning sickness for the first few months, I sure feel good now. And by the way, not sure why it is called morning sickness when it is not limited to a certain time of day and could hit at any moment.  And although I spent the last 2 years of my life on a vegan diet, I am having a love affair with bacon lately!  It is truly amazing how much I could eat.

6 months

We decided we better start getting the bean's room ready, because once the summer starts, time will quickly pass.  While I was on a Washington, DC trip with my students, Jason worked hard and did a wonderful job painting the bean's room blue and grey. Do you think he will subliminally get the message and be a Yankees fan?
Jason also surprised me with the Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bag I longed for, for Mother's Day!

We also thought it was time to put together his crib.  A present from Grandma and Grandpa Kurash.

Quinn's room came perfect and just in time...

We took wall decals and stuck them to picture frames to make our own artwork!

Other exciting news this month our friends Andi and Scott (and Ainslie) welcomed a little 10lb. 6oz. baby boy into their family on May 21st.
